Firearms and other advancements
More advanced Firearms are in use among the industrialized Machaean Imperial military, but are popular among mercenaries and soldiers elsewhere. Much of the world still uses Renaissance-level firearms, but are slowly catching up thanks to dedicated efforts of merchant guilds such as Venturers from Permot seeing a profit to be made. Y’tll Monks, because of their continued war with Manachaea and the Morfairsing Bloom, have opened the Vaults of the Deathless, arming some of their own troops with advanced artifacts of lost technology only understood by the secretive monks.
Airships have become popular for troop movement and aerial engagements between the Y’tll Theocracy and the Machanaean Empire, especially for conflicts ranging over Morfarsing or for aerial bombardment, and many other countries are struggling to keep up (again, thanks to the economic ingenuity of refugee profiteers from the Free-City of Permot.. Such airships were up until recently restricted to Zeppelin-style craft and bi-plains, but massive propeller-driven airships, and small advanced jet-plains have recently been making an appearance in various aerial theaters . Such vehicles are restricted to the social elites and military of the major empires, though a few can be found in the possession of individuals in some of the Periphery city-states. Railways and tanks have also become a major part of trade and military defense in Manachaea, and have exploded into usage elsewhere. Iron steamships have been implemented by the Empire for nearly a century. While advancing vehicle technology promise great returns, aggressive Monsters hunting the sea, air and land between the various competitive nations make large military engagements (much less trade or travel) always risky.
